Never thought I'd randomly come across a TTR driver, but hey, @cke was here grabbing fuel. Good to see you again friend.

 

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every so often.
Just booked a load 150 miles south of here on the Kenia Peninsula heading to Superior,Wi for Friday.
The odds of that has gotta be astronomical...

Just don’t get hung up on the Yukon

 

I like quiet more than anything. And a 24 hour bathroom. But that and the Lebanon J look like my best options. If I stay at the Family Express, and leave early enough, I can beat any traffic. Feels kind of silly to put in so few miles in a day (and only be 2 hours from delivery), but I guess I was ahead of the game this week.

I'll probably play it by ear tomorrow and base it on whether they have a reload ready or not. No point in staying at a J when I can support a smaller place if I'm not in a rush to get anywhere.

But yeah, too bad we missed each other, but I'm not going to be a stranger around the central US, so there's likely going to be more chances to meet up.

If your going all the way to Lebanon there is a shell ( IN 32 ) the exit north of the J. That’s the other place I stay on that stretch. There is a 24 hour restroom and a few places to eat there too.

Decent truck wash attached to the shell parking lot too.

Watch the traffic it gets sketchy south of Lafayette.

Looks like southbound is closed right now actually?

 

Heavy no doubt lol, I heard stories about him and this newspaper article seems to back up the stories I heard lol. He put every machine he had to the max!! I remember dad talking about him putting weight on the sickle bar of that tractor, his property was flat but tilted “a lot” on its edge So he weighted it to keep from turning over.
