Just around the western provinces up here. And it's really a small trailer compared to what some people pull around here. It'll be an adventure anyways!

Some days I don't know why I drive then other days like today when I'm off and I pass a lowboy I wish I was at work. (Sorta)Last edited: Sep 15, 2017

That is where Landstar came up with the "sitting duck" policy. Driver was on an off ramp in AZ consulting his map book. Car exiting ramp loses a wheel and plows into the trailer, killing the driver. Family sued, claiming he would have lived if the truck wasn't there..and they were awarded $19 million. Now if a LS truck is caught parked on a ramp it's an instant lease cancellation.

How do I say this....I don't understand the USA sue happy culture. In another thread- 3 gang members did a drive by on the dudes house while his wife was inside. The criminal justice system found them guilty but only a short sentence. So he's going to sue them for PTSD and a laundry list of items.
The trucker that was asleep in his own bed? BUT the drunk that crashed his car into his truck sued him, saying if he hadn't falsified his logs and gotten home the next day instead, he wouldn't have been able to hit his truck.
Craziness -
Yeah...just think of all the stupid stuff we have to add to our daily routine at shipper or receivers just because they're afraid of being sued. It used to be if you were dumb enough to get yourself hurt it was your own fault and if it was bad enough maybe you wouldn't be able go on and produce stupid offspring. Now we must protect everyone from themselves and as a result we as a society are becoming collectively dumber. Just because Darwin was right didn't mean we needed to stop bad things from happening. It's not healthy.cke, PeteyFixAll, Oxbow and 13 others Thank this.

@SAR, with all the hubbub, I forgot about them. Here it is. The guy is absolutely ecstatic about it. Not sure I would have ran the wires the way he did, but to each his own.
cke, PeteyFixAll, Feedman and 8 others Thank this. -
Unfortunately, America has become a society of "It's not my fault (fill in the blank) happened."
The days of people (except for a small number) taking responsibility for their actions are quickly coming to an end.
cke, PeteyFixAll, Orangees and 9 others Thank this.
