The subject matter was the M-11.
Not the 11.1.
I never drove a Detroit 11.1 to the best that I know of but I hated the Cummins M-11. Especially coming into Raleigh NC with the lane restrictions and where my exit was. It was like being a yo-yo and none of the cars would let me get over in the 1/8th of a mile I was allowed to be in that lane to take the exit.
I might as well have been coasting.
Gutless piece of junk.
Thing was so bad I'd have rather had a Charbroiler.

Reading another thread bout why Cruz control won't work when lights are on. Found out it is programed in the ecm so can't use at night......Um whatever happened bout just training the fools how to drive and think.......COME ON !!

Yes Well I just a little experience......
Cruising down 77 coming into a construction zone, all of a sudden my truck just TOOK OFF black smoke rolling and gaining speed!!! I pushed the clutch in and the engine went full tilt boogy on the tach!! 2600 rpms. My return spring in on the bottom of the fuel peddle under the cab not the pump..... I’ll have to change that foolishness!!! Heim joint fell off the pump. Time for a new one.....
