Couple Z-16s show up for sale at the big auctions every year, usually bid into the $200-300k range, depending on condition, rarely sell. One of the most famous ones was owned by Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartwright).

Doug, you can probably add to this. You recall the story of Smokie Yunick building the 7/8th scale chevelle for nascar. The body was new and there was nothing for the to compair it to. They shrunk it down. He is a large reason why there is body templates to Check this nowadays. From what I recall reading about it.

Yes the 65 396 Chevelle is big $$$...:)

I use to be neck deep in Chevelle’s , always tilted towards originality but never owned a 100% original model lol.

Wish I had my 69 back, I’ve hated myself ever since I traded it off.

I had one get down in the trailer last night. Broke his ankle couldn't stand up. They say it happens in my line of work, I say I didn't do my job. I have analyzed every step from centreville to rayeville Louisiana and nothing seems outta place. I pushed him up in the corner and put the front funnel gate around him to keep the rest off of him. Only to shoot him in the trailer and drag him off this morning. I don't even feel like going home, but I'm headed there anyway

Yes,the 7/8 66 Chevelle. Unfortunately,I don't think he ever got to race it. Smokey was a genius. Remember him running fuel in the tubular frame of his car, plus the fuel cell. They couldn't figure out how he didn't have to make so many pit stops, lol. The old joke is, if he had worked for NASA,we'd have been on the moon in 1960.
