I'm with Zeviander on this one. Flat tops look cool like COE's but I would sure hate to have to live in one for 2-3 weeks at a time.

    Looks real good!!

4 - 1" bolts with 3"x 3" plates make great feet under a table. Put a hole on the bottom side and weld a nut over it. Unless you drill through the top and the bottom, you will not be able to screw the bolt all the way up and still have it long enough to reach the floor.

As far as the chop saw, put your supports 3-1/2" (or the height of your saw base) below the table top. This way, the saw base/saw vise will be level with the table top and you have a table to support the steel you're cutting.

The only thing I would have done different, is move the casters in just a bit and put the screw in feet directly under the post. This will direct any force from hammering straight down the leg to the ground. Instead of down the leg, onto the cross brace and then to the floor.

I agree....the dinosaurs didn't adapt and look what happened to them, lol. Honestly I like the modern creature comforts provided although they can be a pain when not working, but I bet I know the answer if you asked a driver from "back in the day" if they would like a stand-up bunk with a fridge and microwave! I always remember my dad laughing when I wore 501 Levi's with the button fly.....he said in his day they hated the buttons but that's all there was and when he could get jeans with a zipper he never owned another pair of button fly pants. Kind of the same deal we're talking about....nostalgia seems to cloud the truth.

I’m going to try to get a picture of the rest. It’s a Duck Pond. The swan is sitting on the other end. The girl in red is not part of the group. Haven’t figured out who the guy is.

I know a lot you guys have a thing for long hoods and so do I but, for my use my 387 is both more comfortable and allows me to haul my 48' trailer with 65' OAL.

I don't generally stay at truck stops unless I have no other choice, with a few creature comforts I can road camp like the best of em.
