Got me a bi-metal blade, 8” bench grinder, another angle grinder, and a few other goodies as well. Then at HD some chop saw blades, Husky 8” clamps, bunch of grinder disks and flap wheels, etc.

Home now and too tired to put stuff together. Lol.

Got to my first Command on board the Ranger and out of about ten of us, 4 had the same name. Two of them had the same middle name too. So there was jostling for the right to be called your real name.
I was the newest one so I ended up being the guy with no name.
Until they transferred out then I grabbed my name back.
I've told y'all before but one of those guys actually had his birthday taken away by the Navy.
No joke.
They were coming back stateside from the cruise before and heading west you have a repeat day when you cross the international date line out in the Pacific Ocean but heading east you skip a day. They picked his birthday to cross over.

I'm telling you the Navy just don't care about nobody.

 

That's the guy who had my name and couldn't use his first name when he got there because somebody else was already using it. So he went by his middle name and then somebody else showed up and grabbed the longer version so he just kept using his middle name. Which would have been fine except we had two other guys show up with that name he was using as their first name too. So those guys had to pick a substitute name too.

 

Well he toted the dead snake out in the trees and left him. He is proud of himself chewing on his bone now

I saw this,terrible,DD+S logistics. Used to be DD+S Express. I was leased to them back in the 90's,00's,after CF,and before I was with Landstar/Inway. DD+S stands for Davidson,Daniels,and Schuman,was the heavy haul division of the old Davidson Transfer out of Baltimore. They closed up,sold the company and that DD+S logistics is the remnants. I believe the old Kaplan Trucking out of Cleveland is bankrolling that operation,last I heard.

They would be wrong, but trainable.

That is something that I would like to try my hand at. I've made some small rivets by hand and formed them to make a connection like that. I've also gotten them already formed and tried it. It's quite a bit of work by hand either way, but it was fun.
