Where is everyone?

I'm taking the loads INTO Colorado.... probably nothing out unless I want to go to horrible Washington LOL

 

One of the things I look at when ending up in a $h|thole like Colorado, is if I can put something on the truck that heads in the right direction and doesn't add work or miles. For example, I would haul something cheap to Grand Island or Omaha before hauling 2.00/mi to North Dakota or Oklahoma. I also try to take time into account. Freight on Wednesday or Thursday will suck just as bad as it does on Tuesday. No reason to sit out there...just grab the first thing available and get heading East. You can never get those days back that you sit out there.

I make sure I get paid to go out there, then get the truck back to civilization as quickly as possible.

Great advice IMO. If it covers my variable costs & gets me to a better place, I'm gone.

 

I prefer to root for a division that works hard all season to win EVERY GAME, not just the game against their rival school. For example Ohio State seems to only play to beat Michigan. The SEC has better teams and games, every week they play against a rival and usually a top 10 team. The season is so much better (and tougher)
