Eww yuck, worst truck I ever drove was probably an older sterling...

I like my 379 alot, but pretty much all ive ever spent most of my time in has been 379s and a little time in a w900 so I guess I'm pretty biased.

Never drove a volvo in my life, probably never will.

    mmm i like pork.

I dont mind a small bunk because i'm not out usually more than 3 days at a crack, i have a 48" stand up on my pete now and they could stick a 36" single on there and I would be fine with it.

All four of us got loaded, but just heard on the radio that MT, WY, and NE are supposed to have 50-60mph winds on Wednesday, and Kansas on Thursday. Just my luck, because I am going to Kansas.

    Then don't ever drive a Volvo 430.:(
    :biggrin_25513:

I like the Volvo 7 series, but I think that 730 has the bunk out of it, and the 730 generally doesn't seem to have the ladder to get to the top bunk when it has one like the 780 does, which is why I prefer it. I can keep the workstation open and use the ladder to sleep in the upper rack.

I thought I would hate Volvo's too, but when I first drove the 780, I was hooked. Personally, I think it is the most driver friendly truck out there with regards to comfort, storage and functionality.

I like the catwalks front and back of the 5th wheel, but that makes it stationary, which I don't like, and you have to look if you're adding a headache rack, what's going to happen to that air and electrical connector on the deck.

For that price, because of the customization, I will hope it doesn't have the DPF on it, then it might be worth it, but if it's got it and high miles, then it's probably going to be due for a cleaning/replacement.

I prefer winches on both sides, especially for the tall loads. That way your not pulling the load to only one side, especially with pipe loads!!!

Not enough leg room, but a beautiful truck. I love the low look (obviously) and a small sleeper is just fine as long as I am home on the weekends or at night. Thats a great truck for local steel hauling for sure!!!
