I'll be right along there with ya, working till the 20th most likely to make as much $$$ as I can and take 2 weeks off from X-Mas to New Years most likely.
I'm off all this week, and I'm already getting stir crazy, I've cleaned the truck and fixed a few things. Cleaned out the garage and even got the boat and cars put up for winter. Now I'm just sitting around doing nothing, bored as heck. -
Now I REALLY feel sorry for you. I absolutely HATE that strech of I-35 from Carls Corner to the south of San Antonio. Nothing but a-holes and traffic jams for no apparent reason. May god have mercy on your soul during this holidy travel
TruckerSue Thanks this. -
the logging companies are almost all bankrupt. the mills are closed down. there isnt a mill open within an hour of me except one specialty mill. three years ago there was three within spitting distance. the germans are currently building a pellet mill but it has yet to be determined how many local jobs it will produce. personally i am expecting a large german imigtation to the area.
umm ya, fleetwood. nuff saidSHC Thanks this. -

$1000 for fan clutch and hub, parts only. how is anyone supposed to make a living? guess i will be running it another few weeks before i replace it
-
You do know that Mercer gets a discount from MHC Kenworth. Is that for new or a rebuild kit? Depending on how bad it is I would be very carefull with waiting to replace it, I have heard of them coming apart and taking out a radiator.SHC Thanks this.

I had the same thing happen to my old MXS CAT. The hub got noisy and I took it to MHC in Nashville. They took it apart and had to cut the old hub off. It was in bad, bad shape and they said I was lucky it didn't go flying thru the radiator and the hood. It cost me $850 to have it rebuilt and that included parts and labor. Shop around cuz $1,000 for parts is pretty steep

Sitting in silver grove ky behind about 15-20 trucks waiting to get my load back north so I can get through the house.
I hate to stay out for a month having a 5 week old child but I like money and with those 2 short weeks for Christmas and new years, I need to make up for that lost time. I also tend to do better every week I stay out from home so I guess I might be able to get my M4 for Christmas after all!
