I have to say, I thrive on being buried with work. I might get a little short when I am super busy, but I get a lot short when there isn't enough work. Today was pretty crazy. We just kept going and going...more and more loads and more and more permits. It is fun when it is like that.

I don't understand why an old mechanical engine can't have EOBR's? They've developed cell phones? GPS, etc? I don't understand why that has anything to do with anything

I don't either. One thing they want in an EOBR is the ability to hook up to the ECM. Although I don't have an ECM, I do have electronic speedometer and tachometer, not the old cable drives. I would think that someone would make some type of link that would allow the EOBR to read the speedo and tach. But, they don't, at this time.
I do have an E-log app, on my phone. But, it does not qualify as it does not hook up to my truck and line 3 is not an automatic input.

I just feel that if LS wants us to use them, then they should cover all the costs with them like most other carriers do. Instead they want us to have them, yet pay the weekly fee for it??? I can understand if it were mandated by DOT, but until then and a free option in available (paper logs) then I should be covered. Just how I see it

It drives me nuts companies out here are choosing E-logs and making them mandatory when there is no regulation for them, I would NEVER work for a company that forces me on E-logs until uncle sam forces them on ALL carriers...

I'm at the Peelot in Tifton, GA..... Watched a guy wash his truck with the squeegee and bucket, then toss all his trash on the ground and go inside to shower. Another driver saw this and took all the trash and opened his hood and stuck it on the motor for him lol. Was pretty funny.

Im relaxing and watching Band of Brothers... God I love this series. It's the 5th time I've watched it
