Well today started out just wonderful... Picked up some job site materials under the newly completed I-69 just north of Evansville, IN. Ground was nice and frozen till about 10am, which is also when they finished loading me. Truck was stuck to the rims deep in mud. Guy brought the loader around to pull me out but instead slid it off the embankment into in the creek. So to the rescue came a D8 and pulled us both out. Good news was they waited for me to get to Cincy to unload me at the warehouse and they are paying for the truck wash as well.

So I'm sitting in Jeffersonville, OH at the T/A till morning. Then loa in Columbus for Milwaukee.

Running up to East Chicago in the morning for unload of a 39,740 coil and then pick up some locomotive wheels out of chicago coming back to the house. Has anyone ever put train wheels in a wagon before? Pays great so I think I will be taking down the sidekit for this one.

They will make you take it down anyways. And make sure you have lots of dunnage, enough to run the entire length of or your trailer twice. They will have you line up the 4x4's end to end on both sides making "rails" and they set the wheels on them and you chain them down. Takes a while but doable

Thanks SHC I figured you have hauled them once or twice so I was hoping you would chime in. :)

They are saying 15 feet long 8 feet wide and 3 feet high. We will see when I get over there what it really is.
