Where is everyone?

i hear ya other load cancelled as i pulled in there drive it was looking like this or going back home other load already had load booked behind it but crap happens so came to tx. hope to get out befor end of jan

 

never hooked to the track before so just hook on the trailer like normal then run a chain to the opposite track hook directly on the track then throw a binder on the middle to tighten it up vice versa on the other side cris cross?

 

i dont bother with houston usually. just call HIT and see about a gov load out of red river. but then again i live quite a ways north of there so its not quite as far for me

 

I used one chain 2 binders on front & back and a strap over the blades/buckets.

Hook the chain to the pad and the hook yer binder to the rubrail, repeat on the other side with slack in the middle of the chain.

Hook inside of the track to a pad, at the top right near the gear and do that on all 4 corners

You can also X you chain using the same method with 1 chain and 2 binders..

No sir, I was looking for something on google to show you but I didn't see anything that showed it very well...

It's been a couple of years since I had to haul anything with tracks on it and back then I was working local and just had a crappy trac phone type deal flip phone...I didnt need the fancy internet or anything like that...

 

lol ok thanx neways maybe someone on here will see the post and throw a pic up. got any ideas on how to keep the tracked machines from tearing up the deck on a new all aluminum step? thats somewhat portable? company gave me 4 3ft pieces of used conveyor belt works good for one small dozer just a work out haha kinda pointless on more then one though

 

Well the belting helps. Get more if you can. I've even seen guys use thin plywood on top of the deck.
Also, on new machines look for the stickers that show like a lashing figure. You can then tie down off those points as well.
I am using the computer here at home, so I do not have my laptop with the pics.

 

Actually there are quite a few loads out of Texas this week. I got a load out of Odessa to Victoria and then reload in Victoria going to Phoenix.

 

I've seen guys using thin luan or particle board as well but I always loaded onto steel/wood and never needed to do anything like that...
