Where is everyone?

Hey hors, met a Pape driver named Dale at Iowa 80...last...Thursday. Told him to let you know he met me.

Had to get jewelry (chains) for the trip to Washington. Had 3 sets, but one set was rusted with no hook links, so I knew if inspected they would be disqualified so the company had to buy a spare set, and since Washington requires at least 2 extra, I bought an extra set for being stupid enough not to have checked before leaving.

Been busy guys out running that storm that was coming into Washington. Picked up the partial Wednesday, an engine from Lafayette, IN that had to be tarped. (Shrink-wrapped, snow covered from sitting outside...and it has to be tarped.)


Anyway.... spent Wednesday night in Champaign, IL, Thursday night in Onawa, IA, Friday night in Gillette, WY, Saturday night in Post Falls, ID and Sunday night at the receiver's in Tukwila, WA. Monday dropped at the Tukwila address and then dropped the other partial HVAC at Sumner, WA..and spent Monday night in Tumwater, WA Pilot. Tuesday loaded in Longview, WA a load of green lumber. Made it as far as Redding, CA T/A and am spending an extra night here waiting for some hours to drop off tonight for delivery tomorrow in Modesto, CA.

Whew, caught up. Now to see what they dig up for me to get me back home for a Jan 18 appt.

On a personal note, now I have been to all 48 states.....Idaho, Oregon and Washington were the only hold outs and...got all 3 on one trip.....and didn't have to chain....whooot whoot!!

 

sitting at the yard in Tulsa...waiting till morning to go back to shipper...since a preloaded trailer full of flat steel weighing only 43k with 1.5' overhang on front and rear is 42500 on the trailer?! seriously? musta had new guy loading trailers today! lol

 

Just drove Through Sierra nv it was hell up there but I set a new record 8min to put on minimum chains.....

 

Glad I didn't take that load to Herlong, CA

 

It got nasty the last 5 miles couldn't see squat, Its not bad it's just what comes with it other drivers that are "invincible"

Yep, if I was the only person on the road, I'd drive thru anything. It's all the other guys driving that worries me when it gets nasty out. That's when I usually park it

 

Emporia KS at the J. Ran myself some miles today! Gotta be up and rollin by 245 so I'm headin to bed. 0900 appt. in Des Moines. This is when I wish me truck did 70+.

 

Baytown TA tonight. Must be a BIG sailboat race going on because everyone has fuel for them...... Glad I'm loaded and just passing thru
