Honestly it could happen to anyone. Wasn't his fault at all.... I got the green bypass light but pulling the OS load I have to go in anyways. Just complaining

Yeah I always wondered about that....I know you have to pull into the scale when you're over size, but do you have to go inside every time? or can you still bypass inside the scale?

I've hauled a few OD loads and I'm under the impression you stop if the scale is open, or some states will come check your permits out on the scale

I went past a NE scale today because the sign said ok to bypass. Nobody came after me. Forgot about all permit vehicles have to enter on the permit but no signs coming to the scale like some places. Oh well I didnt get pulled over so I'm chalking that up as a win for me!

I was wondering cuz I've hauled a few over size boxes, nothing too big, just some 9 foot stuff...and I've always stopped around back and brought in my permits....

But I've seen some dudes just roll across the scales and keep on going........

I thought everyone had to go in to show permits?

Depends on what your hauling to. Farm equipment depending on size can be exempt.

Those were used tractors out of the south for a local equipment jockey. Things have been awfully slow with the green stuff. I am thinking its time to start banging on some doors. When it gets slow the cheap jokers get all the work. January has been pretty frustrating so far.
