You are demonstrating what I always tell people about staying out. You can only run 70 in 8...eventually you run out of time. Why not take that at home? I understand you couldn't control it because the opportunity came up for a good load. But there isn't really an advantage to staying out...you still have to take a break. It does take a little more skill/discipline to end up at home when you are getting low on hours. Even if you don't have anything to do at home you can utilize the day and a half for PM.
Where is everyone?

If you don't run real hard you can always move some things around and keep on truckin. But I'm with you, I would much rather take my time off at home with my wife and kids.DEMO Thanks this.

I am working hard on not working hard..... this weeks run was an exception, and this is the hardest I've ran in years. And I can tell you that I will not be doing it again anytime soon i hope. I put in 4,100 miles in 7 days, and that is just too #### many miles. -
#### you were humpin it

In the last couple years, I have had a couple drivers come on board and tell me they don't need to be home. I always tell them that is fine and there will be opportunities that arise...just like it did for SHC. But on a normal basis, just work hard for 5-6 days. Take 1.5 off an start again. If we are doing our job right this should put them in a cycle of consistent 2500-3000 mile weeks.

I put on 4078 this past week SHC...hardest I've ran in a good while myself!
