Chino CA waiting on a permit, if they issue one, load was taller than originally booked. I will have 3 days in this stupid 300 mile load by the time I finish. Should have gone home from El Paso.

Here's one for ya Ron I was called with it yesterday 16 wide 11 3 tall on the ground 78 long and 62000 lbs 1600 miles 1400 dollars. I laughed hard and he was offended told me that was a great rate. I then explained that 1400 dollars didn't even cover permits and pilot cars his response as that he didn't kno that load would require those things and that all he had in it was 1800. I really wish brokers that have no clue about anything would stay the #### out of the OS/OW market. He asked me my rate and about had a heart attack when it was 10 times what he was offering.

I called on a load that was posted once, I knew the company was a reefer carrier so I was little confused, they had a John Deere 8410 posted as a FLATBED partial, and didn't even know it was 10' wide, needless to say I didn't haul it.......

To keep salt off the load, and some do it because their packaging sucks and won't handle the winds at highway speeds. Shingles are about the easiest things to tarp, don't you get paid to tarp?

You think I would learn about loads that grow, just pass. It is amazing how little effort some brokers put into moving their customers freight.
