I lived in Portland, for 20 years. Not much manufacturing in the NW and more than enough trucks to handle the little bit of what is manufactured.

Yeah, the loads I've gotten calls on are all paying $10k plus, which gives me enough going in to cover DH back to SLC or Billings where I've got agents with descent freight. Granted heading out to the NW is a 2.5 week trip to work my way back to IN. But sometimes the revenue is worth it.
Im hoping to be able to stick to the surrounding 5 states and still gross about $5-$7k on 5 working days. I've done that the last 2 weeks that I've stuck to the Midwest area, but that's lots of running (600+ miles a day) with loading and unloading taking place each day. But it does keep my busy, which is nice. -
I guess since the roads have cleared up I should get gone. But I'm in a lazy mood so I think I'll just lay around some more.
