Especially when your MPG goes down the crapper from being heavy and tall like that. What a load of crap, literally!

Caxpt.I would ask around with other.drivers. I carry extra stuff with me that I have gotten at shippers I would get rid of. Mats, racks those things. Is there a home depot close by? Somewhere to get a couple 4x4s at? I just use square wood no beveled edge.

Yep CAXPT, in that area, buying them off another driver is prob going to be your best bet. Not many coils go around there.... now pipe stakes on the other hand is a different story.

Already called the shipper, no. Home Depot, unless it's hardwood, can't be used for coils....but there's one on the way, if I have to I can check, buying from other drivers, well...that could party me to company theft. :(

I guess I can go ask, maybe there well be a heavy haul that will take pity on my lack of preparedness. I should have known right after I said on here that I haven't done a coil in 2 years, I'd get one now... .funny thing is, I'll be picking up from the plant, where I delivered one to, 2 years ago....the agent remembers me and couldn't wait to help me get out of the area with a load.....but.....I don't have the same equipment I did back then. :(

Thanks, guess I'll have to try and go use my charm ...If I'm not back in 30 minutes, send back-up. :D

milskired, TwinStickPeterbilt and SHC Thank this.

Pine can be used for hauling a coil, but not everyday use. Home Depot/Lowes has OAK timber also
