Guess what? No they couldn't. Believe it or not, in Waco,TX, neither Home Depot, Lowes, or the local "lumberyard" could cut anything thicker than 2". I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. Worse, I couldn't buy the pieces in the size we could use, 6-8'. They were 12' or longer and had to be cut, but "they" couldn't cut them. :::sheesh:::

Needless to say, I got lucky, one of the drivers for the same broker after being called by him, had extra boards he sold me.

I did find a source from now on for the rubber... they're called "stall mats" and I got a 4'X6' one from Tractor Supply Co. for I think it was $32.00. Receipt is in truck so I'm guessing. Big enough to just lay on the boards. I'll have pics later. Need to take one of the final chain positions as it was late when I had to pull out of the building for other trucks to get loaded.

I'm still shaking my head though, over the fiasco with "lumberyards". :::shake, shake, shake:::

Sitting at home trying to figure out how to translate a description of a location to GPS coordinates. If I fail we'll go with plan B and blame a Pape truck to driving through someone's lawn in DBQ.

Use Google Maps, it gives you the GPS coordinates if you click on a specific area without touching streets...or known locations.

Sitting in Las Cruces, NM, was trying to get to Deming, but wouldn't have made it before HOS were up on the tattlebox. Coil is going to CA for Monday delivery. Finally, a run that will take the weekend to get there, without making me sit in a truck stop the whole time. :D

I've got a description like [IMG] 75.2m SW of Madison, WI and In Sageville, IA Near US Hwy 61. I wish they would use something that didn't suck.

Well that's for you to find on the map and turn into coordinates. You referring to Dubuque?

Yep, I have a basic idea. I wanted a precise location, it doesn't actually matter. Safety Director should just contact the driver, it's just driving me crazy. How is that acceptable data when I know for a fact they can produce a report to pinpoint the location.

Interestingly enough, using your mileage from the edge of Madison, WI, I find myself in Dickeyville.......and I don't like being here.
    :biggrin_25523:

Considering I had the unfortunate experience of taking 61 out of Minnesota before and going through Wisconsin on it, which won't happen again. 61 on Minnesota is interesting, 61 in Iowa is fast...61 in Wisconsin just plain sucks. :D

Loaded 1700 pounds of cell phone tower parts this morning and unloaded this afternoon in Madison. I am home and I am going to bed. Leave Monday for Okeene, Oklahoma.
