Where is everyone?

Actually, it's the new one just before exit 201. Even got a Starbucks for my morning breakfast

 

Sitting in lake station IN for the night then off to east chicago to deliver in the am.

 

My first day is done! Was fun and busy. Did 3 loads on my own. Training was a driver showing me everything in the yard, showing me the truck I used today and off I went! All my deliveries were right in Chicago pretty much. Traffic is not as bad when your paid by the hour lol! Drivin myself a KW T 800 daycab. 8 speed and an ISM Cummins! Huge difference in this setup from a 475 cat and a 13 speed.

 

8ll? ISM Cummins? Big power house eh?

 

I guess an 8LL. I do know the bottom end the gears are super close and on the top the are super spread out. Taking some getting use to. Oh yeah real power house lol! Thankfully I drive from light to light mostly, did get on 290 for 3 miles. Did 55 mph at about 1650 rpm!

 

When I ran local, my FLD was perfect. 10spd with a 430 Detroit and 3.90 rears. It was a stop light racing beast !!!

Eagleville, Missouri at this little truckstop. Ordered a grilled chicken salad for dinner. It was disgusting!!!! Who the heck puts pinto beans and corn in a salad? It is my own fault, I should have read the discription in the menu closer. Besides that, the chicken was probably grilled and diced yesterday and stuck in the fridge because it was ice cold when I tried to eat it.

 

Too bad. Food has been good the couple times i've eaten there.

Did you get stuck in some of the potholes in the parking lot? You drive in and all you can see is the stacks of the trucks until you climb out.

 

Well i would have a hell of a time finding my truck then (weed burner exhaust). LOL
