He'll say, yep I was going to put you in a new 4 axle truck and a 2/3/2 trl. setup..:biggrin_2559: But no you're leaving us now.. HaHa
Heck he's probably got 50 private msgs. now from guys wanting to go heavy haul side for them now and that many looking for office jobs..

Yeah I just couldnt justify the jump to buy with the way the economy is and seeing some of the stuff on here about freight. So i went with the second best option that i know very well.

We will eventually move that direction. I just have a hard time taking the plunge. We don't have a network developed for heavy haul. I have to figure out a way that the first 2-3 years won't be too painful for me, staff, drivers and contractors. Other than that I would be ready to jump. I think we would be great at it. I am not sure if I would attempt it with company trucks though. Contractors with skin in the game are much more careful with all the little things that come with heavy haul.

    SHC and volvodriver01 Thank this.

Yes and you have to remember it may not be out and straight back.
You have allways seemed to get your drivers home on the wkends. That might be tough in H.H.
Oh also I heard Tennenat lost another dispatcher either last week or first part of this week.

Yes the growing pains might be a loss in the first year or a break even point.
If those silver trks. go away, there could be a good lane coming out of Kernersville in the next couple of years with them expanding down at that plant

They are going to start building some large units at Dubuque and the 9000 series at Waterloo are going to get much heavier. So that would be part of the puzzle...then we would just need to figure out what to do when we are out and about. I think there are a few customers that have potential to offer work in heavy haul.

I would not move into Heavy Haul without drivers ready to be gone for 4+ weeks at a time.

I just tore up that application I was filing out. After three weeks I am ready to go home, unless it is a GREAT paying load.

    volvodriver01 Thanks this.

Yep, that would be a good way to let them know this might be the case.
If they really want to do it they will understand the way it might be.
Talking with people at the former place I know alot are getting very upset with things there now.
    Company and O/O both.

    milskired Thanks this.
