I'm home. Left for work this morning and made it about 4 miles in 20 minutes trying to find ways out of my sub division that were not closed because of flooding, got a call and said just stay at home, the rain screwed the day so no work today. All in all I am liking this new job a lot. Driving an 18 wheeler mixer truck and going into the heart of Chicago is Oh So FUN!!! I had to back into an ally off of a small 1 way street and angle off in the ally to pour a footing yesterday. I was amazed I got the truck in there. I sure am learning a ton with this too, fast and on my own but to me that's the best way to learn. I'm just trying to learn the low clearance areas in Chicago. I also found out something that makes me happy, I may be part of the union now but I don't have to deal with any of the BS usually connected with them! So thankful for that because that was the deciding factor of me really liking the job and not liking. Time will tell because unions, well we all know how they are!

Logan76, MJ1657, SHC and 1 other person Thank this.

I'd have no problems with that at all... nights are the best times to load at the mills
