Nothing wrong with that system either. It is not for everyone just the same as having a payment. If you are not good with money and not good at being motivated to work then a truck payment is bad business. I will never go back to running older trucks for me. Plan is to have a payment until the last few years I work. I understand it is just part of the cost to run and input that in the numbers. I do not work any harder than most and do just fine. I think I have run around 7500 miles a month the last 3-5 months. Just pick the loads that pay instead of chasing.

How many flatbed and oversize loads out there are drop and hook?

    Because that's what I do.

I saw lots of loads not being covered today and prices going up.

Hopefully it's just not cause it's Halloween.

    Love seeing tql getting squeezed.

To answer the OP’s question. If you want to make a million dollars in trucking start with 2 million.

I wouldn’t even call. If they have this kind of wiggle room it’s likely a 12-16 ft wide oversize.

He’s paid cash for everything except his two houses, plus he makes $120K a year in YouTube money, so I think he will be just fine.

Socialblade has him at $60k on the high end. The question will be how many of his subscribers will stick around without any truck content.

I must have missed the part of the article you shared where it only dealt with what you haul. Also you didn’t specify that step deck contracts aren’t safe. I apologize for responding to something you shared and not having the ability to see you were only speaking for one segment of the industry.
