Where should I go work, Swift versus Stevens Transport?

So what you guys are saying prime or roehl are good companies to start for a student

 

I work for Roehl and I've been very happy here, everyone I talk to is also happy, it's a nice place to work and get your training and exp.

 

I work for ROEHL too and I never had any complaints about miles or getting home(it might be a day later than i want to be home but they do get me home.And they don't try to butcher my check.

 

Are you guys new or you got years under your belt

 

What is sent pay here at roehl and minimum /most miles. Do you get the option to go into Canada or NYc. Do they offer solo, team, dedicated or local runs.

 

pay is based on experience...yes we do canada and NY....they do run solo...dedicated....local in some areas....and you can run team if you want....i average 2800 miles at least a week...all i can say is give them a call and ask your questions...one thing about ROEHL recruiters....they are not allowed to lie...and if anyone doesn't believe ask any ROEHL driver...during your training you have to fill out a form seeing if the recruiter wasn't honest about everything....just call....it won't hurt to check for yourself.

 

Worked at Prime Inc years ago was good company no complaints. I'd recommend Prime to any new driver or anyone we ith less then 2 years exp.

 

I Been leasing thru Prime and I gotta say,, I made great money. Freight keeping me moving. Making agreat living

 

I started at Prime inc July 2013, was company driver for awhile decided to try lease. Man wish I wouldn't listen to all the neg things I heard about leasing. I'm making great money, good fleet manger. My only regret it I didn't lease sooner. Oh by the way, I had no CDLs when started. The training is great. $600.00 after you get CDLs. $250.00 before you get your CDLs. (250.00 has to be paid back after you get in your own truck). Again, great program for beginners

 

Pay $1300/wk to lease a truck? No thanks.
