Wow. You don't know how much my blood boils every time I hear stuff like this. Not only did they clip you for $6500, but they clipped the federal government AND benefited from your work for a time. If it really matters to you, take the offensive. Go after THEM. Make a case that they compelled you to quit because of a degrading and bullying work environment. In today's world of political correctness, over-the-top enforcement of civil rights, and the relative ease with which you can torpedo a company's reputation due to the proliferation and dependence of social media, I'm pretty confident that you can force them to relinquish the judgement.
