I’m interested in a new line of work and I’m trying to figure things out like where’s could I realistically work as new driver and where it would be best to get training. Having a family, I’m interested in minimizing a gap in pay so I’m willing to do the work to get it right the first time.

I’m a veteran, honorably discharged in ‘05 but I know I’m way past eligibility for GI Bill and the same for VA Voc Rehab which is a 12 year eligibility. Is there anything else out there for a long separated vet in Indiana to help pay for a CDL? Is there a best type of place to get a CDL? Where is a good company to work for with my experience level in far south Indiana (I65 region- Henryville to Clarksville, Jeffersonville)?

I know I’m peppering with questions but I’m trying to get the ball rollingrolling and looking for guidance.

    Thanks for the help.

Indiana WIOA Program will pay for cdl school, free to you.
If you can't afford to miss any paychecks, can attend cdl school on weekends.
Takes longer, but fills a niche some drivers need to get the career started.

Here's another one! (From Post #3)
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program in Indiana provides funding for training services through the INTraining directory, which lists eligible training providers and programs.
    Overview of WIOA in Indiana
The WIOA program aims to enhance workforce development by providing funding for training services to eligible individuals. In Indiana, the program is administered through local WorkOne offices, which help connect individuals with training opportunities that align with their career goals.
