What's wrong with trying to find a job where you're treated like a human being, and not like a piece of freight?

If you live in AZ try L.W. Miller there based in Logan Ut but they've hired drivers from out of state before . A question though i've never heard of anyone getting the boot for doing nothing, perhaps you can't mention what exactly you've done which is understandable. The only thing that'd be acceptable really is if you get retrenched because the company's gone broke now thats a whole different story hey.

If he's learned anything, what he says can an will be used against him as his story changes. So don't hold your breath for the truth.

It's a slow read at the beginning but then it picks up steam.

I job hopped my first year, experimenting with different driving jobs, so when I decided to go back OTR I ended up with Swift. No one else would hire me. And I really don't blame them. Once I started driving for Swift, I realized they really aren't that bad. I have now got over 4 years with one company and should be in a good position to move up into something better. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, even if it's an unpopular move. If you love driving, it really doesn't matter what name is on the side of the truck.

Sometimes its not what you do but what you say to your employer or dispatcher there only human too. No one likes getting abused verbally i'm sure lots of us can relate to this by the way we react to negative posts in the forum, so theres a thing called tact when you make a complaint about something but in a way where it doesn't offend the one on the other end e.g. i had an issue with the company i worked for giving me hot loads . i had three choices either quit, come in and abuse the hell out of the staff and dispatchers or to go in calmly and reason with the supervisor about how he/she would feel if some truck driver who was over on his legal driving hrs ran off the road and cleaned up half his/her family would he/she be understanding towards that driver, guess what the answer was? anyways the point being is i never ever got another hot load and i still had a good repore with the staff all ended well.

look on craiglist here in phx. There all kind of jobs being posted. Some locals. There was a one last week. You run to Cal and back to Phx. Home on weekends. Always check craiglist through out the day. You might see a opening in the morning and by lunch time. It been pulled off.

I once read a signe I will never forget. It was in the pool room of this local bar in Santa Fe NM. "The definition of diplomacy is the ability to tell some one to go to hell in such a way as they enjoy the trip"

another thing I remember is from my step father"When some asks you anything that is really none of there business or you don't want to answer, just respond with "Why do you ask?" Diplomacy and tact goes a very long way.
