If you just started in August you have until the end of September....wait till you get home and file around the 15th wont be any lines (Toledo office is crazy, they send people away) and you will save money

I can barely drive to the Orlando IRS office for $10 in gas alone, much less the tolls ($5). Then I'd have to wait for hours and hours. One year the power went out when a transformer blew, and I had to come back the next day. I did mine last night for $10 and had an emailed Schedule 1 back within a half an hour.

isn't there a direct websight for free????
rather then doing some 3rd party websight. -
I did mine e-file yesterday for the first time - I'll never waste another trip on anything I can e-file especially if it only costs $10-$20.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
the e-file is what costs , and www.expresstrucktax.com is by far the cheapest and as many have posted very very fax getting your proof of payment and stamped copy back in a few minutes.
it is worth 9.99 to not have to go to an irs office and wait in line plus the driving time. the sites charging more are making a killing.MNdriver Thanks this. -
No, you have to use a third party filer -
oh, i thought the irs had a direct link to there system.
that would explain why kevin rutherford got into the efiling business. LOL. -
They hand you the little pamphlet w/all the garbage in it anyway. I live less than 10 miles from the office though, so that helps.
