Which amp is best

Now I run a TS-2000 for 2 meter FM/SSB it runs about 60 watts real output max.

I had the time to test the Mirage Amp that went to the factory for repair......

They say it puts out 160 watts on 146.000 mhz with 50 watts of drive My bird # 43 says 120 watts ....... hummmm .... So I found out how they got those numbers ....

You will love this sounds like shiffy sams CB amps .......

"Well Sir the man said we use 14.7 volts and a BIRD PEAK WATT METER " ( On FM ???? ) BUT he added "your average BIRD Meter will only show 120 watts and at 13.5 volts may not even show that much " AND " On SSB you can never exceed 120 or it will sound like junk " ..........

Such a deal $320 for 3 DB of gain .......
