Sorry for my slow responses. Am very busy.

    1) No, i don't have any problems with vibration. Perhaps, your truck may be vibrating? i have not seen any nighttime footage, so i can't say. But since you brought it up, i will check next week. Daytime footage is good.

    2) The image quality seems pretty good. i did not notice the small details like licence plates (pretty important....). Since you brought it up, i will check next week.

Otherwise, everything seems to be going good with the cam.

    Rocks Thanks this.

I am interested in how good once you put the memory chip in a computer with a good screen. One reviewer said it works well for license plates like that. ????
This one has my interest. Also thinking of 2ea mini’s to point out the side windows. Use the mirrors to watch down the sides of the truck when parked.
I gave up on a Blackvue 900 this weekend. One reviewer said it can be irritating to install. I agree. I don’t have the time to fight with everything. Like I used to do with windows. I just don’t have the time to waste.

    Sorry it took so long:

    100 feet:

    50 feet:

    25 feet:

25 feet magnified to 170% using windows photo gallery:

    NOTES:
    1) i had my low beams and well as driving lights on. This is my vehicle obviously, not the truck i'm normally assigned to.

    2) The license plate was there the whole time.

    3) i measured distance using a measuring wheel.

    4) The camera DOES include the GPS coordinates in each picture and video; i just cropped it out for privacy.

    5) My screen and software (windows photo gallery and DrawPad) may not be the best.

    6) Again, this is a Garmin 67W dashcam.

So, we can see that the resolution for license plates is not that good. Now, again, keep in mind my software and computer---it's still a windows 7 and a laptop monitor. You can playback and view videos and picture on the camera itself, but it's not going to be any better because the screen is like 3". Will better software work better? i don't know.

i think it's not going to work well for hit-and -run type deals. Other than that, i still think this is a very good dash cam; It continually loop-records. i think the micro sd card that comes with it is 16gb which gives at least 1 hour of loop recording. This should give you plenty of time in case of an event if you don't press save immediately. If you DO save immediately or soon after, then it saves it permanently as a file. i believe 15 seconds before you press save and 15 seconds after you press save. If that's not enough, you can always go back thru the loop recording to get more footage.

i am not sure at this time that if you had a larger sd card (more memory) would this extend the loop recording time? At any rate, i think 1 hour is plenty of time.

    i should add:

    7) the inside of my windshield could probably use a good cleaning.

    8) In all fairness, I COULD NOT make out the license plate until 25 feet at the earliest if at all.

To me, overall the camera still does a good job.

i noticed that there may be a way to playback using an output on the camera. i'll try this with a better and larger monitor.

Also, you can upload anything on the camera to cloud. Will this make a difference?
