Yes, but manual has 50 mile choice, and test here has 50 mile choice. Confusing.austinmike Thanks this.

I won't link to them, there are many websites that have updated practice tests. I just "binged" the search term "cdl practice test" and had several good results. I see two that say they based on Virginia. This is my last comment. Good luck, just don't over think this. It's not nuclear physics.

Memorize the correct answers only; ignore the rest.hopeful eyes and austinmike Thank this.

Also, if you fail the test it's not the end of the world. Study the areas you had trouble with and hit it again.

The key to passing these tests for me was repetition. Memorizing the answers to the questions in the back of each section of the book. Where’s my dang book at Be right back

I just took all the CLP exams this morning. You're right about the 50 mile vs 25. I passed, but I got that question wrong because of the practice tests. The questions (at least in Texas) were not worded exactly like the practice tests, but the content is mostly the same so, if you consistently pass the practice tests, you should be fine. I passed General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Combinations, Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and a test that's specific to Texas rules and regulations. I read through the book once and then just relied on taking the practice tests over and over. The only question I had on individual truck components was one asking how many springs can be broken or missing in a leaf spring.hopeful eyes and austinmike Thank this.

Just do the practice tests a few times. If you are even remotely book smart these tests are a breeze.
If you are not at all good at tests but still have decent reading comprehension then do the tests, read the material , do the tests again.
If you can read but really have a hard time with comprehension, just memorize the practice tests . Make flashcards and straight up memorize them
Here is a good tip: DO NOT MEMORIZE THE INCORRECT ANSWERS IN THE PRACTICE TEST. I know it sounds crazy but some folks will make the flashcards with all the answers and make themselvs pic out the correct one. You just want one answer to feel more familiar than the rest.hopeful eyes, Chinatown and austinmike Thank this. -
These ones. In your book. All the questions for each section.
