Which Company Sponsored Training?

CRST has an 8 month program, it works, but you will starve till the 6th month.

 

This is not directly on topic as I do not believe in Company Sponsored training programs. The companies are getting paid for training you and yet you have to sign a contract and pay them again? Not me.

I know it is not in your area, so it will not help you. But look at the[FONT=Lucida Sans Unicode, Lucida Grande, sans-serif] financial aid information. It will tell you about fafsa. Fafsa is something everyone going to college fills out. It acts like a government clearing house to find you aid to go to school. Some are loans, some are grants.

I think the problem with truck driving schools is the name. Truck driving is something a monkey can do. What the trucking community is trying to do is lift the image of the driver up to the image of a profession. You drive a truck with a $1,000,000 insurance policy attached to it. You are the CEO of a $1,000,000 business every time you get behind the wheel. Schools that only teach you to past a test are $300 for a one day course. You take the test in a pickup with air brakes attached to a open deck trailer. A pickup and a 8 foot trailer with air brakes is legal to test with. Same thing as a road truck with 53 foot van. No. But you can get the same license.

Get your Fafsa filed and find out what other opinions are out there for you. A six week program paid for by the Government will open doors to your new Profession.[/FONT]​
