If your company keeps you running and not waiting for hrs to be loaded or unloaded then yes you could possibly make an adequit paycheck. But the problem is all the sitting. But thats just how trucking is.Either like it or find another profession.Ive been doing this since 2003 and if i was looking at the money side,I would have quit long ago.

If you're broke, go with Central Refrigerated or Prime Inc. no money up front.

Prime offers tanker, flatbed or refrigerated & pays $600.00 a week while you're with a trainer.

Whether you get your CDL via an outside school or through a training company academy the vast majority of training companies until you have sufficient experience will nonetheless pay you training wages, as a CDL is just a glorified driver's license and also the bare minimum necessary to be hired on by a training company that will provide trainee drivers both training and an internship so that they can matriculate hopefully to the point of becoming a professional driver. It certainly doesn't mean you are a professional driver once you get your CDL, as most drivers at that point can barely drive a truck. Hence, it doesn't matter how you acquire your CDL, as you will nonetheless be paid training wages in the beginning either way.
