Which ELD did you go with

Only two I've heard about is something for livestock. I think that was 90 days, not positive though.
There is also CVSA enforcement rule that says no trucks will be oos for elds. The driver can still be cited though. That's untill April 2018.

 

Is keep trucking a good eld?

 

I'm ordering the One20 today. Don't really care if it works or not. LOL

 

I tried it. It works. What strange is, yard move has unlimited radius. I drove 30 miles at 65mph and it never switched to driving

 

FMCSA has issued a 90 extension for live stock haulers (and all agricultural commodity haulers). That's what we do.

That's interesting.

But I don't plan on using it. I'm staying on paper. Going to run local and only run out of state once every 30 days. Getting the ELD in case I get caught out over the 8 day in 30 rule.

I may as well donate to the guys making the ELDs. After all, that's all it's about. Money transfer from trucking into the technology sector. Nothing to do with safety as we all know.

I'm safer with eld then without. Just ask the megas.

 

ordering Keeptruckin today, just out of curiousity, what if it does not arrive on time? can i use the shipping as an excuse?

 

I really do not understand that exemption.. what if I do California to California for 3 weeks and one week i do California to Arizona, do I still need to buy an eld?
