Well cant find a definitive answer to my question but, I believe the bulkhead is removable. Seems like it would be a costly expense for Fontaine to have a seperate setup to make a trailer with a bulkhead vs. no bulkhead. There are vedors that sell bulkheads as an add-on so, I believe it is removable.

New Question; can someone give me an ballpark figure on trailer Ins and Plates? Would you say the Ins is about the same as BT Ins? Plates?

Insurance will be cheap. If you have your own authority in tn. there is no sales tax. I registered one last week & it cost me $93.00. I'm across the mountain from you in mcminnville.

To each his own. I really have no use for a 102 & i'm not concerned about resale because when I get done with a trailer it is ready for the scrap ysrd.

I won't have my own authority for a while. I apologize if I come across ignorant about the process of buying a semi trailer but, I have never bought one before..lol Anyway, I will be getting the Ins. and plates through the carrier but what do I HAVE to do to pull the trailer from where it is now, to the carrier?

    Thanks and btw,,,howdy neighbor...lol

Sheepdog, if you are buying the trailer from a dealer they should give you a temp tag to get it moved.

99% of headboards are removable. It might be a pain if its been on there forever. If your not planning on hauling a lot of 60' pipe etc I wouldn't think of taking it off. If it has 12" sides you can store all your gear in it and load from the top of the trailer instead of climbing up and down or walking on the deckplate of your truck.

the one i pull is a 1996 ravens all aluminum 45x96 spread with a bulk head and it is removable just sits in the stake pocket and bolts on. it is plenty long for what we do. i would like to have one 102 wide though make it easier to strap and not hang over. but it works fine.
