I would like a cab over because of the greater visibility and maneuverability, But there are laws in the U.S that make conventional trucks the better choice. That's why the Argosy is no longer sold in the U.S, now exclusively in Australia. I figure it would be better anyway, because conventional trucks have a longer wheelbase giving a better ride and you don't have to tip the cab to do any maintenance on the truck. For a starter truck, I'm just going to get a Freightliner Century, or one of the other 2, whatever you people believe is best. Once I put together the information I will use it to decide which of the three are best, though now I will get a Century. My second truck will be a Cascadia if I have enough money. Maybe, by the time I actually do have to buy a truck, used truck prices will have come down enough for a Cascadia. That's a good thought. Well, now I have the main part o my plan formulated. Thank you for all of this information, I can choose one of the tree by myself if need be, currently being the Century. Feel free to make any suggestions regarding my decision, and once again, thank you, this helps allot! I'm pretty pleased with my first post on this forum! If you like, I could post some things about myself in the welcome wagon secdtion, since thatwas where my first post was supposed to be in the first pace anyway. I am still open to suggestions. -Joshua

I have had 2 different freights, right now I have a cascadia and I like it but there are only small differences on the inside it seems from the different models that I drove anyway. The newer cascadias are also supposed to get better fuel mileage but I havent kept track what mine is getting right now but thats mostly since I dont have to buy the fuel lol.

There is no law, that I am aware of about banning cab overs. Now older ones can't take to California but who wants to seen the Communist country of California? With all that emission crap. You can buy the argosy but its special order. Not like just walk into dealer and buy. Sure will have same emission crap all new trucks have but would be new.

I'm seeing a lot of cab-overs from Mexico every day in San Diego area. They ain't banned yet.

I have the video to prove it, my mom told my teacher off when she called me a liar over it.

they do not ban cab overs, it just makes it hard to be able to haul as much freight as you can with a conventional.
-
in Europe, I believe the maximum vehicle length is 50', so they use cab overs to have more space for cargo
