Which fuel tank?

    I think you hit it right on the nose with your reply. I feel that it's more likely to suck in air when using little fuel in both tanks than just using one. I will track the lines as you said and see which is which. Thanx everyone

    First off, you should never run a truck until its almost our of fuel. If your worried about sucking air with 2 tanks you are running your truck to close to empty. If your trying to save weight you can always just fill them half way. As for how much you need in the bottom, were talking less then 10 gallons per tank. It weights about 80 pounds. Do you really want to mess with the fuel system to save 80 pounds? Not to mention, if you only use one tank you have around 1000 pound off balance when full. I wouldnt want tog o around turns fast with 1000 more pounds on one side of the truck.

    thousands of trucks manage to run with only one fuel tank just fine.

    It's wasting fuel due to injector 2 faulty. Just found that out. So I couldn't really gauge the fuel level. I thought it wad the low fuel getting air, and that shutting a tank down would help.
