    I'm supposed to start training my self on the 17th talk with mike nice guy will be going to Atlanta for orientation. will talk with him again on Thursday for final details

    good luck to ya'll. I hope mine goes well I go to orentation on the 16th in Jackson. RT has been great with all the info she has pasted on. Hopefully see ya'll on the road.

I don't know but I guess the moderator thinks a ## manchu is something obscene. Maybe to some people it is but it's defined as a type of moustache.

    I chuckle to think what would happen if all you guys coming to KLLM from here were to give them my name. I wouldn't get a bonus or anything but I bet they'd sure wonder what the heck I've been up to. HAHAHA!!!

    My current challenge is driving through a raging case of the flu. I woke up yesterday morning with the thermometer reading more like a radio station than a human temperature....

    1980 miles left to go and I feel like something the cat wouldn't even deign to *touch*, much less drag in.....

    So...I'm chugging some Day-Quil, Ibuprofen and some Simply Sleep and hoping tomorrow is a better day....

    Hey Twisted Turtle, when did they tell you were going straight into driver training? I'm trying to get into the March 31st class and was wanting to drive down to Atlanta. Can you at least get your car back home? Its only a 3 hour drive for me so I didn't know how big of a deal it would be. Anyone know how big the orientation classes are? Its taking forever to get my application through, I guess they are flooded with applicants. Another question for someone, I passed my haz-mat about 2 weeks ago but I'm still waiting for my papers to get my endorsement. Do I have to have the endorsement before I go to orientation?

    Road Toad, I hope you're feeling better soon. With a temperature like that you might think about a doctor but I want you to know I appreciate you taking the time out to write the likes of us when you're feeling that bad. Hope you get better soon.

    Hey Trucking?, I was told I was going straight into driver training last Tuesday (March 10) when the recruiter called to tell me what I had to bring with me for orientation next Tuesday. My only concern is, if for some reason there is a lapse between orientation and driver training, will I be expected to pay for the hotel room while I wait 'cause that ain't happenin' especially since I elected to take the bus 'cause I was told I was going directly out and because I can't afford it. If anyone can advise me on that I'd appreciate it. It's time to stop spending money on this whole deal and start making it! Then again, I could be worrying myself to death over nothing. So as far as getting your car back home I couldn't answer that one. Would suggest calling your recruiter back and asking him or her. I'm betting that the orientation class will be large but I don't know for sure. I do know that you don't have to have a Haz-mat to get hired but make sure they know you are in the process of getting your fingerprinting and confirmation # approved by TSA. I got my fingerprinting done before I ever entered CDL school for Haz-mat and Tanker 'cause I knew it was going to take time to clear. Two days after graduating I got my approval in the mail and then went to DMV, took both tests, and got it all put on my license at the same time which saved me some money. Anyway, you shouldn't have to have your endorsement to go to orientation. Hope this all helped. Good luck, Twisted
