I stopped by the shop today to pick up a ECM that there letting me try out, and while I was there they plug in the lap top to see if there was any codes logged in. I didn't think there was, cause I never saw the check engine light come on, but there was, he never gave me the code number but he said something about the temperature in the air intake. So what does that mean, a bad sensor or sensors? I'll call him tomorrow and try to get the code# and post it up. Once again thanks everyone for all the info
-
Welli tried a differant ECM and still no luck, boost still up and down. Guess I'll try the changing sensors. On e again thanks for all the info

The intake air temp sensor can be faulty and giving the engine ECM a temp reading higher than it actually is causing it to derate, I'd definately check into it. What was the actual code? If you've ever had a broken exhaust rocker on cylinder 3,4 or 5 your temp sensor would definately be junk.
Izzyloco Thanks this. -
I don't have a code that was in the ECM but I think it did say high intake temp. They told me to try the atmosphirc sensor first and if that didn't change try the intake sensor. I just got the atmospheric sensor but haven't got to try it yet. Waiting on a load. Checked my rockers all was good there

Starting to sound more & more like a intermittant wiring problem. Suggest that the connections at the ECM & the offending sensors be checked for the "green stuff" we get from all those great chemicals that are applied to our roads. Doing a pin draw test would be a good idea also. Just a thought or two

report back with the performance of the new injectors, it's been a while and we haven't heard from you so I guess it's running fine now. -
Sorry guys for not keeping you updated
Ive been so busy since the harvest started. I ended up putting all new sensers and no luck then said the heck with it got my ECM tuned with a 7cz Aussie file which really woke it up then did the front cover gasket and while that was off went ahead and put in a 800hp cam. Been happy with it but now that I'm getting higher boost I still think I have an air leak somewhere, sometimes I can hear something that sound like an air leak when it boost up checked the cac like 5 times already
and can't find any leaks put new boots and clamps and nothing. This might sound kinda wierd but it almost sounds like it coming from the air compresser or somewhere in that area. Idk anymore I give it up for a bit and I don't hear it for awhile then I think it cured then out of nowhere I'll pull a hill and I hear it again
