    I've only had to call two brokerages to see where my check is over the last year and a half. So the collections part is really not a big deal. I'm also very careful who I extend credit to, I rarely take chances with newer brokerages that have less than ideal credit. I have worked with a couple that paid faster than what was written in the contract.

    Don't factor, you work hard enough for what you negotiate, just as well keep it all. Some will say to add the cost of the factoring fees into the rate and not worry about it. Why not add the cost of those fees in anyway and keep them yourself. After all, you are factoring your own accounts receivable.

    I used Frieight Capitol , they would supply you with a fuel card. The get big discounts with TA and Petro.
