I've been with FFE for 6 months now. I am still undecided as to whether or not I will continue with them after my 1 year obligation is through.

Oh, My husband drives for American Eagle. We were L&H. But they are no longer, Just AE now. We have been with them going on our 2nd year in Sept. At 1st, it was bad. But it has gotten alot better now. We have a great driver manager, They treat us well, So well, I am thinking of going to the school in Pine Bluff so I can team drive with him. I remember our 1st year, lots of ups and downs. We considered leaving also, Truth is. Its no different anywhere else. All your changing is the name on the door. Just my opinion tho.... If this is your 1st driving job, I say try to stick it out, it does get better as time goes by. I hope this helps some. Keep posting to let us know how your doing. And Best of luck to you. Stay safe out there

I too am with FFE. Been here since Mothers Day. Like you say mizz, lots of ups and downs. My fleet manager is pretty good. Responds right away when I message on qualcomm. Most times has an answer or gets one for me pretty quickly. My miles could be more consistant. I got hosed out in Cali a couple weeks ago, but that was a CSR grabbing me for an owner op not wanting to deliver his load. My fleet manager got me an extra layover and local pay on top of the miles.
I'm still trying to understand the fuel routing thing. Sometimes it makes no sense. But it is their truck. And sometimes paperwork hasn't posted in time, but it evens out the next week.
But, with 12 years driving I can tell you it is the same everywhere. The grass may be greener on the other side, but your still going to step in dog ####. Overall I am happy here. But I would rather be back home hauling gas.
Also, I am blogging about my FFE experiences..... -
Well I just found I have several "logging violations" by company standards. Apparently safety says we aren't supposed to drive past our 11th hour of on duty status (I swear these people must be buying all the crack in Dallas). Also some of their other policy doesn't match DOT, but then that is there perogative. Biscuit this load I am on now headed to Laredo didn't even have a fuel route that took me to my pickup in Cleveland, TN they just wanted me to run from where I dropped south of Cincinatti to Laredo. So I had to run down 71 then across on 64 back to 75. Total PITA, but I should still be making Laredo in the morning about 10am after which I am gonna take a 34 restart since I will be out of hours and my next recap is only a 6 hour.
