i would see whats done with the pete that motor is an issue maker...i walked away from a great deal on one....drove it a week and twice it dropped the intake actuator on number 3.....a major cat issue on 07 c15 and up....so bad they have multiple repair kits from wiring harness kits to acutator kits and they still have not been able to solve the issue....i think a pete looks good but that cat motor just has to many issues...now if it was a diffent cat motor sure still little pricee though not bad but could do better

its a classic. i love classics. the tanks are an easy fix just 2 bolts 4 lines and sending units unhooked drop roll to other side and remount...little polish some more chrome maybe alittle paint scheme could make it a beautifull truck its a 430 12.7 so its non egr 02 motor can be turned up to 550 easy or 650 if you want bigger 13 speed for hills 3:70 good for what i haul. texas bumper added to it with lights and i would be happy

500hp and I am happy. Do you know whats their avg mpg?
I know man , its a pain in the rear trying to buy truck. so many options, so many opinions. Egr none Egr , I just dont know... I dont care to go to California either . Plus I dont think other states will follow california any time soon .
2008 truck with 600k miles sounds good too. I talked to some people at freightliner and they think new dd15 is not a bad motor .

I think the DD15 is a good motor. 2008 will have EGR and DPF. To be California legal next year, add an aftermarket DPF with your extra $30K. There is some confusion in certain circles whether you can have a DPF you can turn off once you leave CA.
