Hi, we are looking to buy a laptop, and I have heard that some CB shops in truckstops sell them. Does anybody have any idea which ones?
Which truckstops/CB Shops sell laptops?

Don't think I've seen any laptops in truckstops I've been in, Love's, Pilot, etc.

The TA in Breezewood, PA has a Radio Shack inside of it.
Honestly, if truck stops did sell laptops, I'd expect you'd be able to find them much cheaper elsewhere. You can park a truck at most Wal Mart Supercenters, or even wait until you have some home time. Don't pay out the nose for this stuff if you don't have to.panhandlepat Thanks this. -
Truck stops have quit selling laptops for a few years now. Like Witcinghour mentioned, go to a walmart if you need one asap.

You will be better off going to Best Buy....and you can get in there in a big rig....park in back...buy inside!
-
Otherhalftw is right... find a Best Buy. My 'puter crapped out last fall - went to the Best Buy in Missoula MT, parked on the access road out back while under load - had a great deal in minutes.

Why the he.l.l. would you want to pay 10x too much for an antique? A truck stop is the worst place to buy anything, ESPECIALLY ELECTRONICS
Best Buy is terrible...stick with walmart, Brandsmart USA..your absolute best bet is CompUSA. if you are going to be near ATL, there is a TigerDirect store on 85, exit 137ish? They are the parent company of CompUSA
If you find a better deal than them...it must be stolenpanhandlepat Thanks this. -
CompUSA? Oh yeah... the outfit that went bankrupt in 99% of the US!
Got a great deal at BestBuy myself - the reason you'd be wanting to try them, is not everybody gets dispatched to the total pit of the US... Atlanta. Say... do you get a free toothless, diseased ##### with every purchase there? -
some of Flying J had laptops about a year or two ago. They were charging $500-600 for a ten year old antique. I'm not kidding on that, either. One store I saw a 300 megahertz Pentium II, which was state of the art back in 1999. I don't see them much anymore, but once in a while you'll see an overpriced netbook for sale. Those are garbage as well. You'd be better off purchasing off of ebay if you want a 12 year old computer. You can find them for under $50.
If you got $600 to spend, get a brand new one with a warranty. If you have twice that amount, get a Macbook, you won't be sorry. Tigerdirect is a great place. I've never been to their store, I didn't know they had one. I've bought stuff from their website, they have good deals. Friendly tip though, when you buy something from them, give them a throw-away email address. You give them your good one, and you'll be getting a thousand or more spam emails within a week. Unless you're interested in the hundreds of pills, creams, and appliances that promise to enlarge your wanker. If that be the case, give them your good email. -
We have been buying our laptops at best buy for many years. they are competitively priced with most stores and you can have it today.
If you want to get the best price try a place like www.newegg.com
But unless you are neat their one (or few, not sure ) location you must mail order.
