I would rather pull reefer. When you dry van guys and flatbeds are waiting for loads, I have them. People always got to eat.

Its funny....do you actually realize how much food is pulled on dry vans....while your sitting at the slaughter house waiting on a load of frozen chickens I am moving with my load of CANNED green beans from Del Monte to another Del Monte warehouse...refers carry mostly perishable foods there is so much other dry foods...sugar,, flour bread canned goods..of all kinds dry vans dont sit..all that much...but when you have no load but there is a 46,000 lb load of auto parts I can pull and scale out but with that heavy unit on the front of your wagon you cant pull it...stuck there for another day....

I run flatbed and the best tarps I have came from walmart (boss don't like tarps either.) The company mostly pulls it's own freight and finds outside loads just to get from one area to another.

I wouldn't mind pulling a tanker though. I heard those guys over at Groendyke make a killing hauling deicer to airports in the winter.

Umm, okay. I know a lot of people that are waiting for loads when I am running. They drive dry vans. Yes, I realize that a lot of food is not perishable...duh and I'm glad your happy running your green beans. However, I've done both and I sat for much longer periods of time running the van than the refer. To each their own.....
