A short video of the radio making the noise would really help us.

I understand, it mostly happens while driving so far. If it happens while I'm not busy trying not to participate in assisted suicide, I will record it.

Why do you guys assume that a video of the noise will help solve the problem?

Come on, can't you ask questions to paint a picture of what's going on?

Mine injected a lot of noise, never got around to grounding it before the company switched to peoplenet, which ended the problem for me.

    QuietStorm Thanks this.

We're supposed to be switching over to Peoplenet also. How is it?

Be prepared for an additional barrage of micromanagement. That's the real reason companies are switching to peoplenet, it's not cost, like they'll tell us.

Sorry I haven't updated lately, been running east coast big cities and there is a lot of noise. Because of that, I haven't been able to troubleshoot much.

I have noticed that i do get some type of interference from the antenna moving too much, so I am going to remove the spring and retune.

However I am going to be taking a few days off in Columbus, Ohio this week. Does anyone know a cb shop or a CB and/or Antenna man in the area that is any good?

Don't mess with the tune of the antenna. Start with the checking the ground of the antenna and maybe add a choke to see if eliminate common mode currents.

Well, by taking the spring off I'm shortening the antenna so it won't be "long" enough anymore. But it seems to be grounded well, I've been looking into getting a choke and probably will take your advice.

Are there chokes specifically made to work well with a mobile barefoot cb?
