White Out - Log Book

I haven't used carbon in years.

 

It depends on the company.

I have had one in the last 5 years that they need the carbons.

 

I have been told by Tx DPS that you can use the whiteout tape if neatly done and don't make a habit of it. It then looks like you are either trying to hide something or you just don't know what you're doing.
It's better to just start another page and remove all doubt.

 

Well I was going to ask how you don't use carbons, lol. But I can see where that might be the case.
SNI wants us to Trip Pak our original logs in (on my account, daily). Then all I have left is a carbon for my DOT requirement of holding on to them for however many days. In my situation...SNI gets fussy if they don't have logs from us....so I send mine in a couple times a week. Otherwise they start making phone calls and might even shut you down at a certain point.

The outfit I used to run for, took our logs, and made them into computer logs, so i asked the secratary if I could just download driver daily log on my laptop, she said sure!!! eliminated her having to mess with it, it was all neata and clean. and you can move that mouse back and forth, best white out i've ever had!! LOL

 

Do understand it's tracking all your corrections you make on it. There is a report they can run to see all corrections that invole "I believe" the 11,14 or 70. It's a requirement to drivers using a computer log as to filling out the paper log.

 

I was unaware of that. I thought there was an answer on the DDL website to that, but couldnt find it. maybe they changed since i used it. But when I did use it, I saw no corrections, just my final page, that "looked" legal..
