Well, truthfully, white's was not nessesarily that high on the hill to begin with:

    1) How hard is it for a restaurant to get rid of flys? i mean, really.

    2) The waitresses can't wear uniforms? And, actually give a dam about their job? (no tip for you)

i do love the 70's decor though.

yeah it always kinda seemed like a hole to me.

i remember one time before it was bought i asked the price on something from the deli and next thing you know they're serving it to me. what the hell?

You know what bugs me though, is all these ####ey independant truckstops around.

I stopped eating at independant truckstops. Also the Fifth Wheel chain in Ontario. Too much risk of the food sucking. And at the fifth wheel it costs soooooo much i could get drunk at a bar for cheaper than their breakfast.. Atleast if i go to TA, Flying J, et al, I know how much it sucks.

There is one exception though, Arlene's truckstop in Battle Creek, MI. It's kinda the only thing in the area to eat at and its edible...even if it is frozen crap and im getting raped on the price...

Gone downhill alot since the late 80's when they were ranked 7th in top 100 truckstops nationwide.

I stop at White's on a regular basis now. In fact I use it as my primary fuel and shower stop. The showers are clean and I think the waitresses at least some of them are pretty cute and they have some personality. Now if a trucker weighs in at 350 and can hardly move out of his own way. Why should he or she expect someone to pay much attention to them?

When did this happen? i think we may be talking about a different white's?

    2) i don't think it's a question of driver weight, i think it's a question of actually doing your job and giving a dam.

i'm sorry but i can't and never have given white's that good of a rating which is sad. i mean i could understand if this was the gary, indiana T/A, but this is southern va where you'd think there was some semblance of normalcy.

Maybe you don't have the right "whites"...This one is at the 205mm. In northern VA.

No, this is the right one. Also, i personally consider anything south of I-66 "southern va." but that's just me.

    2) i "only" weigh 180-190 but even if i did weigh 305 this should not bear any reason for staff to not do their Gdam jobs.

Again, how hard is it, especially for a restaurant, to get rid of flies?

Again, if breezwood T/A can do it right. (repeat, this is a T/A) then anyone CAN AND MUST DO IT RIGHT.

Sorry, i can only give whites a 5 out of 10.

I don't eat at White's anymore. But it's not bacause of the people or the new design...But because the food. It's not bad. It's just the same as most places...I carry enough food with me in my big frig, to be able to choose when and where I eat.

I only use Whites for my 50 gallons of fuel and shower. They have the best showers. And the 50 gallons is usually enough to get me to Jersey where I can get cheaper fuel...
