    Here is a company that has been manufacturing fortified mailboxes for 30 years.
    Fort Knox Mailbox. The name says it all. And they are strong.
    However, they are smart enough to have a "breakaway" style mounting pole, which according to the website is required in many areas.

    There's a history of these types of lawsuits. The courts have repeatedly ruled against the plaintiffs, including in this one...

    If you read through the opinion, you can almost hear the irritation of the justices with the plaintiffs. They had been ruled against twice already, and similar cases had been brought before the Ohio Supreme Court already, several times in fact.

    The courts have ruled time and again, that if an object is not placed in the normally traveled part of the roadway, the landowner is not liable for a motorists inability to control their vehicle.
