This is the 3rd Thread you have started asking the same question.

Maybe he did not read the ones he started. Or maybe he did not like the answers......thing is, the defination of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a differnt result. Starting to sound a little crazy........

You absolutely must research the things you keep throwing out. Decide what is for you and research some more. Then you will have the answers to most of your questions and a plan. At this point most of us will be happy to help you with specific questions.
Right now you are like a head with it's chicken cut off. You presently lack the knowledge or direction to get any useful help.
Please search and read. Learn what is realistic and what you wish to pursue. Gain some knowledge and then ask some questions. You must do your "due diligence" before you can be taken seriously. While we have all learned through our experiences, we started with research. Nobody wants to spend hours explaining to you what you can learn through reading.
Please go now and read the docked threads I suggested in the "Ask An Owner Operator" section!BigBadBill, Gears and the gambler Thank this. -
Rephrasing the question. You been in the military. I have When you ask a question and no one give a short to the point answere because they don't understand. You rephrase the question.

If you are stupid enough to factor freight bills from LS you won't last long.
You need MC authority, there in no longer a ICC, even though the term is still used.
Your "authority" isn't with a company, it's with the Feds. You might be confusing "authority" with a lease. So, if you're leased on to a company, you're using their authority, in essence.
The ICC was abolished in 1995.
Didn't the ICC go away in the 1990's?
*****None of those are answer the question.******
Do you have your own authority yes on no. How did you go about it?
If you don't understand ASK Don't go off half ####ed telling someone that there to stupid to factor in freight bill from another company. I used an example to try to help you understand the question. -
Which way to get authority?
"I once heard of this company that does all stuff I mentioned earlier. Has anbody heard of a company like that." No then just simple questionn. How to go about geting authority?
Example I went to Company X they got me authority, this that and whatever else they help out with. I'm ready to go. Get on the Boards.
I call Landstar get a load they have posted. I del. Fax my bols to Company X. Thay pay me I'm done. Next load I got from the shipper. I fax bols to Company X. They pay me I'm done. Next load came from Mercer. Fax to Company X. Done. This goes on and on.
If you've never heard of a company like that. Then so be it. It may be a round table story. Thats why I'm asking on the boards.
But if you have your own authority then you can help by telling me how you got it. If thru a 3rd party how much help did they give you before and after you paid them.
Already with ooida. -
Also this is not a brokering company. They get everything you need to get your own authority.
I know fmsca 7 step process http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration-licensing/registration-steps.htm Its 300 to Apply non refundable and still doesn't garauntee you getting authority. Before and after that Theres another 10-15 other things that have to be done.
So I'm researching companies that do all this for you. If you wanna skip that and do it yourself. Thats fine Thats you. Not me I would like to see what those companies have to offer. So wich one did you go thru.
As you said everyone is saying. Do more research Lease to a company this that. Why do think I posted the other thread about company bs. I'm tired of it. Buy a truck Lease to a company Get my own authority. No one asked what my plans are right now. Everyone just wants to put info and put me down. Telling me I'm fail if I don't do this or that. Ask john how Much I put in the bank in the last yr. I know numbers send me your email and I'll send you a sample of the microsoft excel spreadsheat I made. Who knows it might help you.
And Talking about most company want flatbed b4 getting into oversize.
Thats my GOAls I want to get into Oversize. The 200,000 lb, 15ft wide 200ft long Maybe not that big. But oversize no the less Just jump right into it and haul nothing but oversize. No Regular freight and throw one or 2 in there till I get better at it. (I have 1 yr flat and 1.5 yr step all legal loads.)
So now that I told you my goals. You can answer my question a little better that wil point me in the right direction. Obviosly Dont give me a company that runs boxes When I'm looking for flat to eventually get oversize.
What company you work for. and only 1 person gave me an answer I was looking for and suggested http://www.sammonstrucking.com/be_owner_operator.aspx
looks like best shot I got Since i can't get anymore suggestions from anyone else -
My wife revoked my authority a long time ago.RedForeman and Big John Thank this. -
I live in IL and they want a business plan justifing why you want certain states on your plates. WTF, I'm a new business and want to be able to run all 48. But present it wrong and it could take weeks to get what you want. Because of this I went with a local lady that was bonded with state and could get my plates.
Had it not been for that I would have used OOIDA. For what they charge it would have been worth it for me. What I know now and could do it with no problem I would still likely go with OOIDA. I hate paperwork and it is not that expensive.
Getting ready to make a name change I will likely pay the $30 to have someone do it so that I make sure that it is done right. It is more of a timing thing and making sure that I don't miss something. Being shutdown for a day because one thing done wrong could cost me a lot more than $30. -
I think you got it now as to what I'm looking thanks. I've been looking at thier services past few days and could not find exactly what they offer. I called and everyone in that dept. was on the phone have to call them mon.
