I started driving at 18, dump trailer, did it up until last year when I swapped to reefer, (I’m 31 now) any who about 6-7 years ago I was asked to train someone at the company I was employeed with, I was told how he had been driving flat beds for 25 years and that he didn’t need any kid teaching him how to drive, I realize not everyone knows each niche of the industry, but dump trailers unload slightly different then flat beds, well atleast they are supposed to, mine went out the back, he tried staying with the off the side.,,,

I had the same problem when I was younger trying to train older guys. Or trying to train people from the same field to do it the way my company wanted it done.
I try to be trainable. I know what I'm doing but if the guy writing the check wants it done differently I'll do it their way.

Chatted with a younger guy at the gym. He was trying to get to a 315lb bench press but his shoulders were bothering him. Every time he gets close to his goal, a shoulder injury occurs. I ask him how many times a week he benches. He responds with 3x/week, Monday Wednesday and Friday. I explained to him about how it takes 4-5 days to fully recover from a heavy bench session and how at recovery, he will be as strong as he possibly can be.

Saw the guy benching a couple days later, complaining of shoulder pain.

“But Six, pain is weakness leaving the body.”

No, pain is the body telling you that it needs to recover.

A lot of people go into truckingvwhere they can avoid outrageos demands of normal society like wearing pants, wearing shoes, bathing, using trash cans, speaking English, etc.

Saying something is certified is a joke. It means nothing.

Had a friend do the same, doing bench/dead/squats 2-3 a week. I don't see how someone can do that. I don't start to get sore until 24-36 hrs and another 24-72 hours before i can work that group again
